The dedication and the desire to give life to a truly sustainable production characterize the story of Gianni and Eleonora, who grow vines, olive trees, wheat and legumes in Palazzone, a small hamlet in San Casciano dei Bagni Municipality, at Podere Bulgherino: "At thirty-five" says Gianni: “I decided to renew the family farm company, a tradition that began with the great-grandparents who were sharecroppers, and this old you don't suddenly become a farmer. But I grew up here, I saw my grandfather and my father cultivate wheat for years and earn little with it, so the conviction of being able to cultivate new products and new ideas in my land slowly matured".
Gianni and Eleonora really put a great passion and enthusiasm into their project, which goes from cultivation phase to the selling to end customers phase: a truly sustainable production, where the diversification of crops and respect for the organic method guarantee quality and health for the environment, and the relationship with the end customer gives back satisfaction and merit. “When I undertook this path in 2001, many were wondering what I was doing with this organic orientation, but today they ask me how to repeat it. Above all, young people are very interested in the issues of sustainability and ecology and this is the real satisfaction ".
However, it is the final product that gives great satisfaction to the Company: "Here we grow a lentil so good that it is already finished before we sell it because everyone loves it!", and the lentil acts as synecdoche for the production of Podere Bulgherino, where everything is grown and processed with the utmost care, such as Extra Virgin Olive Oil obtained from the pressing of olives rigorously harvested on the same day and selected for us, of Valdichiana Eating.
