Imagine the classic Tuscan farmhouse immersed in the cultivated countryside, add the verve of a Tuscan-Irpinian family, the desire to cultivate the land according to nature and to cook its fruits according to tradition: here is the Astrone Estate. Luciana and Marino dedicate all their passion to cultivating the fields of their estate starting with asparagus, the first crop they found here 20 years ago. But their creativity does not stop with the growth of the products: after having seen them born, grow and finally harvested, Luciana and Marino put asparagus, artichokes, tomatoes, etc. also in a pan in the Agriosteria and in a jar in the processing laboratory, all inside the Estate.
Luciana tells us that respect for seasonality is a key principle here: small quantities are produced, according to what Mother Nature grants, and with those small but excellent productions they create preserves, creams, pickles, jams and compotes are made: "We don't understand how you can buy a zucchini in January. People should come to the field to see with their own eyes that in January there can be nothing, and that if you find a zucchini in January it is against nature, but when you eat the zucchini in June, when it is really delicious and has the taste of a true zucchini, then you won't eat zucchini in January ”.
