Santoni, a historic Italian brand, has always been synonymous with artisan quality, family tradition and incredible passion in the production of a wide range of liqueurs and spirits. Established in the early 1960s, the company has made its products a myth since the time of Fellini's Dolce Vita. Gabriello Santoni is a constantly evolving reality, which combines the use of local products and botanicals of the highest quality, with a great innovative spirit, which has opened the doors of the best clubs in the world to it.
The selection of Santoni liqueurs comes from the infusion of botanicals with traditional methods, as already witnessed in the Renaissance. "The first pharmacopoeia written in vernacular Italian, the Florentine recipe book, dates back to the fifteenth century, with indications on galenic preparations starting from aromatic herbs" tells us Stefano, herbalist and son of the founder Gabriello, today head of the company: "The first true list of medicinal plants, testifying to the long Tuscan tradition in the sector".
It is starting from the rhubarb, of Asian origins but imported by the Sienese spice merchants in 1200, that both the company's historic products - Amaro di Chianciano and Rabarbaro Santoni - and Amaro Santoni, the latest born, are created. Fruit of knowledge and tradition, with its blend of 34 herbs and roots, Amaro Santoni is aimed primarily at a young, smart and international audience, those looking for an experience and not just a simple product.
